Down2Earth Bushcraft & Survival Print E-mail

Cooking over an open fireAt Down2Earth our small, dedicated team are passionate about what we do and would like you to accept the challenge of an unrivalled outdoors learning experience in the beautiful countryside around the Wye Valley.

We provide a selection of Bush-Craft and Survival programmes tailored to suit all abilities from beginner to instructor, working with a friendly "can do" attitude -
we are not a "boot camp"!

Our ethos is for you to succeed (or benefit from some failure), in the How, What, Why and Where of the countryside that so many people only see through a car window or on the television.

The Down2Earth team looking after you in the woods will be:

Alex McKenzie - Alex, "The Wild Man of the Woods" is the spokesperson for Down2Earth, specialising in natural remedies, woodcraft, country crafts and fungi identification.

Alex Jnr. - "Little Al", specialising in nature awareness, animal tracking, wild game procurement and shelter construction.

Justin Sterry - "Al Fresco Chef", Down2Earth runs on its stomach, but our chef also specialises in survival strategy, equipment, safe fire making and botanic identification.

As a dedicated, close-knit team we have a combined experience  of over 50 years in all aspects of "the great outdoors" and work closely with the Forestry Commission in the stewardship of the land in which we are fortunate to operate.

Down2Earth has membership of the Outdoor Learning Institute, full Liability Insurance and makes a donation to the South Wales Forestry Commission for each course we run.
